Program Notes:

DANCE OF FURY begins with a somber, chromatic opening, and eventually, the main theme is introduced by the first violin. Then, the main theme transforms into a groovy dance (the "dance of fury"). At the end, the beginning material returns and fights with the "dance of fury" material, and the dance wins. The piece ends with a dramatic glissando flourish and an abrupt bartok pizzicato.

This piece was written at Interlochen Center for the Arts in July 2019, and recorded professionally by student musicians at Interlochen Public Radio later that summer.
